Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Transfer
SKB Environmental is at the forefront of tackling PFAS contamination with our innovative solutions. In 2024, we installed a full-scale PFAS pre-treatment system at the SKB Rosemount landfill, marking a significant milestone as the first of its kind in Minnesota and the Nation. Modern lined landfills are part of the solution to responsibly managing PFAS containing waste streams.
With the addition of this state-of-the-art system designed to efficiently remove PFAS from landfill leachate, SKB intends to be the industry leader in the safe and responsible management of PFAS wastes.

MSW Waste Disposal
The economical transfer of waste hinges on three important factors: location, location, location. The Malcolm Avenue facility is located in the heart of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and the Blaine Environmental Campus is strategically located to serve the northern Metro area. Their convenient, centralized locations provide an attractive, cost-saving alternative to long-distance direct haul to remote disposal facilities.
The MSW sent to our facilities is transferred to only the best permitted waste-to-energy facilities or state-of-the-art landfills with gas-to-energy. We do this to ensure our customers and the public that their waste will be handled and disposed of properly.
Disposal Services
We ensure the safe and secure disposal of industrial waste, MSW incinerator ash, and construction and demolition debris (C&D). Additionally, we offer waste transfer services for MSW waste, directing it exclusively to the safest waste-to-energy and land disposal facilities.
