SKB's Vandalia Concrete & Asphalt Recycling Facility offers concrete and blacktop recycling services and has recycled materials for sale. Its centralized location provides an attractive, cost-saving alternative to long-distance direct haul to remote landfills, which translates into more recycling. Loads delivered to the facility as well as the other facilities in SKB's integrated recycling system meet the requirements for the United States Green Building Council's (USGBC) LEED Program certification and other Green Building programs.

SKB believes wholeheartedly in the recycling and processing of waste. Diverting valuable materials from the waste stream saves precious landfill airspace and reduces the need for virgin resources. The facility accepts clean concrete, clean concrete with blacktop, concrete with rebar or wire mesh, blacktop, and clean fill for recycling at this location, however mixed loads of construction and demolition (C&D) debris may be delivered for processing at one of the various locations in our integrated recycling system. The concrete separated at these locations is transferred to our Vandalia Concrete & Asphalt Recycling Facility for a complete, closed-loop recycling process.

Acceptable Materials: Clean concrete, clean concrete with blacktop, concrete with rebar or wire mesh, blacktop, and clean fill. Loads with excessive rebar, wire mesh, or questionable fill will be inspected to determine acceptance of the load and price.
