The facility is not permitted to accept the following materials for disposal:

  1. Slaughterhouse or rending plant wastes.


  2. Radioactive wastes.


  3. Infectious or biological wastes.


  4. Waste oils.


  5. Lead-acid storage batteries.


  6. Mixed municipal wastes. (See our Blaine Facility page for this type of waste disposal.)


  7. Hazardous wastes.


  8. PCB-contaminated wastes > 50 ppm.


  9. Explosive wastes.


  10. Liquid-containing wastes with a flashpoint of < 140 degrees Fahrenheit and solids that ignite using ASTM Standard Methods for Testing D4982.


  11. Wastes that have reactive or corrosive thresholds at or above the hazardous level.


  12. Wastes that negatively react with water.


  13. Containers with unknown residues.


  14. Hazardous waste containers, unless those containers meet both the state and federal definitions of "empty."


  15. Empty compressed gas cylinders, unless the container pressure is equal to atmospheric pressure.


  16. Friable asbestos materials, unless wetted and packed in plastic bags at least 6 ml thick and sealed shut.


  17. Contaminated soils from non-hazardous spills, unless evaluated for metals or organics prior to approval.


  18. Potential high-temperature materials, unless properly cooled by the generator prior to shipment.


  19. Fiberglass, urethane, polyurethane and epoxy resin wastes unless in a cured, solid state.


  20. Spent carbon filters containing liquids.


  21. Untested recycling residuals.


  22. Labpacks (laboratory vials packed in larger containers which hold absorbents or solidification materials).


  23. Demolition debris. (See our C & D services page for this type of waste disposal.)


  24. Any waste deemed unacceptable by the facility manager of SKB Rosemount.
