We believe that industry leadership means making the commitment to be active participants:

• SKB’s staff serves in leadership roles for the National Association of Demolition Contractors (NADC), the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), the National Solid Waste Management Association (NSWMA), the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, the Recycling Association of Minnesota (RAM), and as members of numerous other groups working on planning, management, and regulation of the waste industry.



• SKB has been a driving force, bringing America Recycles Day to Minnesota, earning commendations from Minnesota’s Governor.



• When the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) developed a certification program for C & D landfill operators several years ago, MPCA staff turned to SKB for help teaching the course. Six times annually, SKB staff provides training in facility operations, management, equipment and maintenance, and regulatory reporting.
